Mechatronics Engineer for Research and Software Implementation

What to Expect?
This is a remote, project-driven role where you’ll get the freedom to solve real-world robotics challenges while working with a passionate, international team. We expect around 40 hours per week, with occasional visits to the Netherlands for on-site testing. Starting compensation: €1,700/month (with growth potential as we scale).

What You’ll Be Working On
Enhance and maintain our EKF-based 3D tracking system, combining IMU and depth data for rock-solid sensor fusion.
Develop real-time control systems; think trajectory planning, synchronization, and calibration
Build and refine mathematical models that translate AI detections (camera/world frames) into precise targeting angles.
Work closely with our AI and hardware teams to integrate computer vision and tracking into robotic control.
Push perception modules further for reliable depth estimation and real-time weed detection
Write clean, efficient robotic software in ROS2, Python, and C++.
Run experiments, analyze results, and continuously improve system performance.

What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
A solid grasp of computer vision, sensor fusion, and depth perception.
Hands-on experience with Kalman Filters, SLAM, and real-time tracking.
Proficiency in ROS2, Python, and C++.
Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time robotic control.
Bonus points if you’ve worked with deep learning perception frameworks.
A strong problem-solving mindset and the drive to thrive in a fast-paced R&D environment.
